Carmen
Beezley-Drake I am a member of Central Queensland Contemporary Artists, Cooee Bay Workshop, A Friend of the Gallery, AFAS. I am a landscape painter though often turn to still life and interiors. In my art practice I use a variety medias from oil, acrylic, watercolour, and mixed medias, also printing, in its various forms. Batik is another medium I employ in my art practice. The Australian Flying Art School was the beginning of my art tuition. I have had many great tutors over the years, foremost artists that it has been such a great pleasure to have worked with. Long term tutors Bela Ivanyi and Mervyn Moriarty perhaps have had the most influence on my art. I have exhibited regularly in Queensland and won numerous awards over the years. I have had work represented in the CQUniversity Australia Art Collection. |

Gail
Meyer For me, creating artworks is about making painterly images of my thoughts of a subject, and not actually representing the subject [be it a tree, person, flowers, landscape etc] in a realistic and photographic manner. By presenting the subject matter in my own way, I enjoy much pleasure and excitement; and can only hope, that the viewer also, can also feel this when looking at my paintings and drawings. My work is represented in the CQUniversity Australia Art Collection. |
